Red Box Produce "Online Encyclopaedia Of Comedy" for Pozzitive Television
Red Box Produce 'Online Encyclopaedia Of Comedy' for Pozzitive Television

We know that we do this for a living - this whole 'creating amazing bespoke websites for totally awesome companies' thing - but sometimes there comes a job that is just that little bit extra special...

Red Box is proud to announce that we have been working on an exclusive and incredibly exciting site for Pozzitive Television Ltd.

Pozzitive, the production company formed by Geoff Posner and David Tyler, (both comedy legends don't you know!) - are responsible for making the country roar with laughter; not just as a one-off comedy moment but more as a life quest. Over the 20 or so years they have been in the business, they have brought us the likes of French & Saunders, Harry Enfield & Chums, Little Britain, Spitting Image, Victoria Wood - As Seen On TV and The Young Ones; comedy that is always at the very top of its game - suffice it to say: these guys are total pros!

David Tyler, one half of the dynamic duo, says, "We're excited about the way comedy can be used to engage and interact with the public online, and the way brands use comedy to integrate their offering, for example, in the world's first interactive comedy 'Where Are The Joneses', sponsored by Ford. Much of the information on the site will never have been released before let alone collated in one place. We have stepped up our digital investment and have some very exciting online plans to engage and interact with the public in 2009."

It is with great pomp, ceremony and trumpets blaring, (plus a top-notch online promotional campaign for the launch by online marketing agency Hot Cherry), that we draw your attention to the amazing things that they have produced and continue to produce - included on their site are exclusive photos, never-before-heard audio clips, behind-the-scenes footage, extracts from un-transmitted pilots and even specially-made trailers that have never been seen before! It also includes full info on the programmes - cast and crew lists and background knowledge on the shows and their characters; everything you could possibly want to know about some of the funniest shows broadcast on TV, radio and online ... who could ask for more?

Well just in case you do - here's the stats on what is actually contained within this monster site:

  • Over 570 rare photos including never-before-seen shots of comedians like Simon Pegg, Robbie Coltrane, Julian Clary & Jack Dee and behind-the-scenes from shows like Coogan's Run featuring Steve Coogan, John Thomson and Rebecca Front

  • Exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage from shows like TLC starring Alexander Armstrong & Reece Shearsmith

  • Over 70 different audio clips, including exclusive specially-edited highlights from current series (Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive, Jeremy Hardy Speaks To The Nation, Another Case Of Milton Jones, Giles Wemmbley Hogg, Cabin Pressure and more)

  • Extracts from untransmitted pilots (including Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive and The 99p Challenge)

  • Specially-made trailers and extracts from radio shows never released on CD, with stars like Clive Anderson, Jeremy Hardy, Paul Merton, Julian Clary, Angus Deayton, Hugh Dennis etc etc

  • Over 50 video clips including material from shows never released on DVD featuring Robbie Coltrane, Angus Deayton, Robert Webb in BBC Three's The Comic Side Of 7 Days and even Steve Coogan playing Mick Jagger in a Spitting Image song.

  • Publicity material from shows starring comedians like Steve Punt, Marcus Brigstocke and Steve Coogan, trailers, publicity postcards, scripts and over 76 series written up in full, including full casts and crew list sourced from the original tapes and paperwork.

On top of all that there's a shop featuring DVDs, rare video releases, (remember those?), CD and books, (but no tea towels); latest news and details of the numerous awards the duo have won.

The site, which features a bespoke content management system to enable easy maintenance; gathers together pretty much all the wonderful things that Pozzitive have ever had a hand in and makes them accessible to all.

We've prepared hours of video clips and audio moments for your enjoyment - so please, wander on over to the site and do some exploring: www.pozzitive.co.uk
